Dublin North Central Sinn Féin -- Building an Ireland of Equals

Home

Fáilte,

As Sinn Féin representative for the Clontarf ward, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Dublin North Central website. I hope you find it both informative and interesting.
Our focus during this campaign and into the years ahead will continue to be on unemployment, job creation, the cuts in public services and the need for Government reform.
These are the issues that concern us, the issues that concern you and the issues we will be working and campaigning on.
You are welcome to contact me at helenmack@eircom.net.

I look forward to your support!

Slán libh mo chairde.

Helen is from Dublin and has lived in Marino with her family for over twenty years. Alongside her training in herbal medicine, Helen studied Social Science and completed a Masters in Primary Health Care. She also recently completed a Diploma course in Mediation. She has a background in Community Development and has worked as a Health Promotion Officer with the HSE. Helen also runs a part-time herbal clinic in Marino. Her work with Sinn Féin in recent years has involved a role as Equality Officer for Dublin.

Helen is keenly aware of the issues and challenges faced by those who are trying to give a voice to the most marginalised groups in society. She is committed to addressing inequalities, particular in health, education, and housing. Her work often involves joint projects with Community Development Projects, women's groups and family support agencies, and she has also worked extensively with other groups on the issue of domestic violence.

Helen will continue to campaign for a more equitable system of healthcare based on patient need, for the implementation of key recommendations contained in the Mental Health Strategy , equal assess to education at all levels and for affordable, high-quality childcare. The needs of at-risk young people and homeless people remain central to her work.
